As part of the Microsoft Campus Agreement, faculty and staff may install a "work at home" copy of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows on one machine at home for campus-related purposes. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You will pay for the cost of the media, which is located on the MCA Work at Home Agreement Form. You will be required to remove the software upon termination of employment at SPSU, or if SPSU does not renew the Microsoft Campus Agreement. Details and frequently asked questions (software included, contact information, and other terms for the program) regarding this program can be found on the MSD page at: http://www.msd.uga.edu/mca/home.php
Faculty and Staff who wish to participate in this program must follow this process:
- Print and complete the MCA Work at Home Agreement Form
- Pay for the media at the Business Office (Prices of media are listed on the MCA Work at Home Agreement Form)
- Bring the completed form and receipt to Christine Jenkins in H-243 (Division of Information Technology Offices)
Ordering Software from MSD
Managed Software Distribution (MSD), provides heavy discounts for software applications for faculty and staff. Please check with MSD for software availability and pricing before selecting a vendor. The on-line catalog is available at: http://www.msd.uga.edu/
Personal Use software discounts through eMSD
The SPSU community, faculty staff and students, is now able to purchase many software titles through the Managed Software Distribution organization at the University of Georgia. The process, known as eMSD, makes the software available for personal use at significantly discounted prices. Up until now, individuals could not take advantage of the volume discounts offered to the University System.
To take advantage of this opportunity visit: http://emsd.uga.edu. To log in, use your SPSU user name and password.
SPSU is only the second school (outside of UGA) to be able to offer this opportunity. New titles will be added regularly, but if there is a package you are interested in you can contact the eMSD administrators directly at emsd@uga.edu
